Valerie Lai was born in Hong Kong
and has been living in San Francisco since 1992. Her passion for
clay began while attending high school in Hong
Kong. All of her functional and non-functional pieces are hand
built
accentuating intricate details; they range from her unique traditional
Chinese influenced sculptures to her most recent miniature gift
boxes and
vases. In 2002, Valerie became a founding member of CreativeMud
in San
Francisco.
