Spencer was born in Chicago, and moved
to the Bay area while an undergraduate. Spencer’s interest in
clay has been influenced by a mixture of curiosity and whimsy. Curiosity
has led him into experiments in macro-crystalline glazes, mixed
clay pieces and other work. His whimsical side has produced
various pieces including his series of inverted tea pots. In
2002, Spencer became a founding member of CreativeMud in San Francisco. |
